YOUR HEALTH INFORMATION, SECURELY IN ONE PLACE
Health Services - My Health Record
What Is My Health Record?
At the end of 2018, a secure digital health record—called My Health Record—was automatically created for you.
This online summary stores important health information such as:
Allergies
Medical conditions
Medications
Test results and reports
With your consent, doctors, specialists, and hospital staff can access this information to better support your ongoing care.
How It Helps You
Your My Health Record ensures vital medical information is available when it’s needed most—especially if:
You’re travelling and receive treatment away from home
You’re admitted in an emergency and unable to communicate
Your regular GP needs to stay updated on care you’ve received elsewhere
It allows healthcare providers to securely upload notes from your visits, making follow-up and coordinated care easier and more accurate.
Need Help or Want to Learn More?
Speak to one of our nurses or your GP at your next visit.
✅ You can also request your Shared Health Summary to be uploaded—just provide your consent during your appointment.
A More Connected Health System
As more Australians use the My Health Record system, the healthcare network becomes better connected, which means:
Faster, more efficient care
Improved communication between providers
Fewer delays and repeat tests
It’s all about delivering better care for you and your family.
