Port Sorell Medical Centre is a privately owned and operated practice situated in a seaside community on the Northwest coast of Tasmania. We are just a short drive to Devonport Airport and the city of Devonport, the home of the Spirit of Tasmania. The Port Sorell Medical Centre was established in August, 2003 to service patients in the Port Sorell, Shearwater, Hawley Beach area. In late June 2009 we moved into our purpose built premises in Shearwater, located at 81 Club Drive, then in 2012 an extension was completed to further accommodate our growing Practice and needs. Our practice has lots of free parking, seven modern, light, spacious consultation rooms and two equipped procedure rooms staffed by our friendly experienced Practice Nurses.

Our Practice treats a broad range of patient demographics, from young families through to our older resident population, with services including chronic disease management, skin procedures, health assessments, venesections, and infusions, pathology services, wound management, and workers compensation. We also provide advice and clinical management to staff and residents of the Rubicon Aged Care Facility, located a short walk from the practice. This is an 80 bed facility which provides residential, respite and palliative care. Currently our books are only open to new patients that live in our nearby suburbs.

We are a caring, family practice of six General Practitioners, supported by a dedicated, friendly team including three Practice Nurses, a Phlebotomist, Practice Manager, Office manager, Office Supervisor, and three Reception staff. We are an accredited mixed billing practice which is fully computerised.
