Book Appointment
Please arrive on time for your appointment as late arrivals cause schedule delays.
It is up to the discretion of the Doctor/Nurse whether you are seen after other patients or offered another appointment.

Sometimes we run late due to someone needing urgent attention. It is not always possible to see your usual doctor in an emergency. If you have an urgent problem please see the doctor on duty. Book a long appointment if you need more time.
Please book a brief appointment for repeat scripts.

If you are unable to keep a booking please notify us well in advance or a non-attendance fee is payable.

Urgent medical problems out of surgery hours, please ring the locum service, GP Assist, on 1800 022 222.

We share weekend surgery with Latrobe Family Medical Practice and Valley Road Practice, Devonport. Phone (03) 6428 7720 to find out which Practice is holding weekend surgery.

Doctors in this practice are competent at handling common health problems.   When necessary, they can use opinions from specialists. You can discuss this openly with your doctor.

Please talk to your GP or the receptionist about any problems with our service. Should you wish to take your concerns outside the practice, contact the Office of Health Complaints Commissioner, GPO Box 960, Hobart, Tasmania 7001.  Freecall 1800 001 170.

Most problems are best dealt with in consultation.  A doctor is available during normal surgery hours for emergency advice. Our staff are experienced in deciding the appropriate response to any request.

We offer a discount to Pensioners who bring a current entitlement card.  As of 1/1/14 all bulk bill patients will be charged for 1 consult per year – Medicare will pay a rebate for this. As of 1st May, 2012, Heath Care Card holders will no longer be automatically bulk billed.
Private patients pay a gap beyond the Medicare refund which varies with the complexity of service or procedure.

Payment at the time of consultation is required. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.  We now have the facility to enable an immediate refund to your account from Medicare.

A small fee may be charged for procedures, dressings and vaccines, to cover costs.
